In 1967, Irving Lubin founded Elran, the first Canadian company to specialize in the design and manufacturing of reclining furniture. Today, Elran is a second-generation family business lead and managed by Sheldon Lubin and Eric Abécassis. We are really excited to offer this affordable, stylish, and customizable brand of motion furniture to our customers with Willis quality standards.
Elran offers a variety of top grain leathers, leather/vinyl match, and high performance fabrics, perfect for reclining furniture. Superior construction grade spruce plywood which is dried better so it doesn’t warp or crack is used for the frames. The wood pieces systematically interlock during the assembly process to create a strong, reinforced structure. High density 2.05 pre-crushed foam is used to allow for better comfort from the moment you receive your furniture. The plant is highly automated and efficient because of a cellular manufacturing process and a just-in-time production system. From design, to prototype testing, and to final assembly each step of the production process has a meticulous step-by-step verification system that maintains rigorous quality control standards. Another great feature to note especially with the increase in downsizing and development of more urban spaces is that all the backs of the reclining furniture are removable to make moving and placing the furniture a whole lot easier.
