Interior Design was the inevitable profession for Sharon Goodwin Koontz. At age 10, she drew a floor plan for a mouse house complete with a furniture layout, a swimming tank in the bathroom, and remote-control switches on a bedside table for the TV at the foot of the bed. High school courses in Art and Architectural Drafting confirmed her decision. With a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from East Carolina University, she worked for several years in Northern Va. before returning to her coastal tidewater roots. She has worked in the design industry for 30 years and owned a design firm for 25 of those years. During that time, Sharon also won multiple awards for her work. She was featured in Coastal Va. magazine and was a featured designer on the HGTV show "Designers Challenge". She is happy to bring her talent to Willis, specializing in residential design and space planning of kitchens, baths and model homes. She loves taking a project from plans to installation, guiding her clients, and answering all the questions along the way. Her philosophy is for the home to have the style of the homeowner yet feel complete, comfortable, and of course, be beautiful!
