Art By Ta – Sea Trinkets 1
A beautiful companion piece to Shore’s Treasure 1, Sea Trinkets 1 is a fine art print of a Pygocardia rustica, a member of the Venus clam family, and easily identifiable by its delicate curvature and characteristic striping. In this original work on textured paper, five clam shells are arranged in a style that recalls the early 19th century scientific illustrations of James Sowerby. Relying upon a neutral color palette of beige and eggshell, expert shading in a stone gray follows along the rounded surface and edges of each shell, offering a sense of depth and texture to the bivalve’s distinctive grooving and lightly curved form. Part of the highly curated ART by TA collection, Sea Trinkets 1, captures the organic beauty of the world through an artistic lens.
