Art is a place for expression through color, content, and texture. Choose art that inspires and sets the tone you are trying to achieve in your home, and don’t forget about sculptures and rugs. They can make artistic statements, too. Art doesn’t have to match your room, you can be eclectic. Traditional rooms can take modern art, and modern rooms can take older-style paintings. Often, it is better to mix it up.  Living in Coastal Virginia, we love to choose art for Willis Furniture inspired by the beautiful beaches, shore birds, sunsets, and coastal landscapes.

Before selecting art, think about the existing colors used throughout your home’s space or what new colors you would like to incorporate. Take note of which colors would complement your decor, and which would be too strong of a clash. If you’re not sure of how to start working within your current color palette, browse through Pinterest, Instagram, and interior design magazines to start getting inspired. You may be surprised by which colors draw you in, and by which art you start to imagine within your home’s color palette.

If you are still struggling to make selections, we are here to help and offer free in-home interior design service. Our dedicated designers will guide you through the entire process so you get the home you want and love! Check out our Design page for more information.
