Also, before furnishing the room, consider what you and your family do there and make sure there is enough appropriate seating and surface space to do those things. For example, if your family loves movie night – you may want to think about a reclining sofa or sectional so everyone can be comfortable. The goal is to have everyone in your family to feel calm, safe, and uplifted in the space.
